US, its allies want ‘puppet government’ in Ukraine: Analyst

The United States and its Western allies have created a “false” and “violent revolution” in Ukraine in order to put in place a “puppet government” in that country to continue their “imperialistic” and “criminal” activities, an analyst says.

"The Western allies have once again created a false revolution in Ukraine…funded heavily by USAID [the US Agency for International Development] and other European organizations,” said Scott Rickard, a former American intelligence linguist in Florida.

The US has been “plotting and planning the overthrow of the Ukrainian government and the placement of a puppet government to continue the imperialistic and also incredibly corrupt and criminal activity that the US has been instigating,” Rickard said.

The Obama administration has also been instigating similar crises in Syria, Libya, Yemen, Iraq, and elsewhere, he told Press TV on Saturday.

Rickard also said that the people of Ukraine will “suffer greatly” from this Western “imposed” crisis.

Russia and the United States remain on a collision course over the Ukrainian region of Crimea, with Washington calling on Moscow to pull its troops in Crimea back to their bases.

On Friday, President Barack Obama said Russia’s involvement in Ukraine could be “deeply destabilizing” to Europe and represent “a profound interference” in that country.

His Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Friday said that any Russian military activities taking place in Ukraine were not intended to threaten the nation’s sovereignty.

Unrest erupted in Ukraine in November 2013, when the country’s ousted president Viktor Yanukovych refrained from signing an Association Agreement with the European Union in favor of closer ties with Russia.

Recent reports show the US is stepping up its intelligence and surveillance operations against Russia in order to get “inside the Russian decision making cycle” regarding the situation in Ukraine.
